流动的舞台 II

Mobile Theatre II



【引言】


穿透,是一种流动的方法,一种入局和出圈的姿势,一种跨越边界的张力,一种脱颖而出的过程,一种破立之间的融通。作为生命体的个人、组织或人造系统,唯有将既有边界穿透而产生流动——无论是物质的、信息的、能量的、情绪的、观念的、知识的……,才能在真正意义上保持一种创新的活力状态。

 

2022年,冲破疫情的阴霾,第二届“同济-广汽创新设计策源营”在金秋的上海如约而至。第二届策源营以“流动的舞台II:穿透”为主题,联合来自BASF亚太共创中心的设计创新团队。延续基于新兴设计议题的产学研对话模式,共同追问并探究流动的未来:我们如何在自然与人造、原子与比特、个性与群智、科技与人文……之间,将穿透作为方法探索有关未来出行的全新可能与意义。


同济-广汽创新设计策源营是由同济大学设计创意学院和广汽研究院联合发起并设立,同济大学设计创意学院载运工具与系统创新设计实验室(Next Mobility Lab)组织筹划,集商业、科技和设计等多学科交叉的研究、创新与人才培养综合性平台。致力于连接院校与产业、研究与商业、学术与社会,共同培育人才、合作对话,并探索有关未来出行的新兴场景与创新空间。

在未来,自动驾驶技术与城市规划会发展得更好,也许在某一天,我们只需安静坐着,便可以在一段时间后到达目的地。这当然是人类驾驶的“解放”,但是同时,旅途也变得无趣。人们也许就如同呆在一个个黑箱子里,脑袋空空得等待那一声“您已到达目的地”.因此我们的观点是:消解人造机械的隔绝,让自然的状态泛在。我们希望穿透载具与外界的边界,模糊人与自然的隔阂让座舱从封闭变得通透而开阔,使载具从移动的黑箱变为进入自然世界的入口。让自然感不被人造物的边界隔绝。让自然感穿透/dive人造物的边界。



In the future, automatic driving technology and urban planning will develop better. Maybe one day, we can reach our destination after a period of time by sitting quietly. This is certainly the "liberation" of human driving, but at the same time, the journey has become boring. People may be like staying in black boxes with empty heads waiting for the "You have arrived at your destination".Therefore, our view is to eliminate the isolation of artificial machinery and let the natural state prevail.We hope to penetrate the boundary between the vehicle and the outside world, blur the gap between man and nature, make the cockpit from closed to transparent and open, and make the vehicle from a moving black box to an entrance to the natural world. Let the natural sense not be isolated by the boundary of human creation. Let the sense of nature penetrate/live the boundary of human creation.

人类从取材自然开始到效仿自然,构建起了现在的人造世界,未来我们如何造物?自然生物为了适应万千生境,进化出了各具特点的响应机制以保护自身。我们依然取材于自然,但保留生物活性,区别于仿生而倡导碳硅融合,以生物探针助力人造感知,以更自然、灵敏的方式感知世界,服务未来生活。



Humans have built the present man-made world by taking from nature and emulating it, how will artificial objects be built in the future? Living creatures in nature have evolved their own response mechanisms to protect themselves in order to adapt to a variety of habitats. We still use nature, but retain the biological activity, and promote the fusion of carbon and silicon, instead of bionic approach. We use bio-detectors to help artificial sensing, to perceive the world in a more natural and sensitive way, to serve the future life.

社交软件、外卖平台、网络购物、网上办公……如今似乎一切都在走向网络。疫情的流行,更是大大加速了这一进程。当向无形虚拟世界的扩张与求索成为大势所趋,相应的反思自然也便应运而生。当大家都在我们希望提供一种全新的角度,让人们的注意力回到材料本身上来,重新看到那些电子屏幕之外的互动可能。而在探索实体材料的过程中,我们发现无固定形态的流体,在交互层面存在着被忽视的巨大潜力。



Social software, takeout platform, online shopping, online office... Now it seems that everything is going online. The epidemic has greatly accelerated this process. When the expansion and exploration of the invisible virtual world become the general trend, the introspection will naturally emerge. As we were demand to seek a new perspective to attract people's attention back to material itself, and rebuild the possibility of interaction outside the screen. In the process of exploring, we found that fluid, a kind of material that without fixed form has great potential in the interaction.

土壤、年轮、树皮、叶脉,自然界万物都生长着各种各样的肌理,在深入研究之后,我们发现这些表面肌理蕴含了丰富的信息,我们希望通过结合现代化数字手段对肌理进行研究与表达,去构建一个“人肌交互”的世界。从输入端转换到输出端,从自然材料转换到人造物,在我们的整个系统中,我们希望通过算法让人造物认识树叶。我们的物基主要分为三个功能部分——自然材料放置、图像捕捉以及音乐播放和可视化。当用户将自然材料放置上去后,摄像头进行捕捉识别,通过机器学习和算法生成音乐后,将音乐播放出并呈现出可视化的视觉内容。



Soil, growth rings, bark, leaf veins, everything in nature grows a variety of textures, after in-depth research, we found that these surface textures contain a wealth of information, we hope to combine modern digital means to study and express texture, to build a world of "human-skin interaction". From input to output, from natural materials to artifacts, in our entire system, we want to make artifacts recognize leaves through algorithms. Our material base is divided into three main functional parts – natural material placement, image capture, and music playback and visualization. When the user places the natural material on it, the camera captures and recognizes, generates music through machine learning and algorithms, and plays it out to present visual content.

“节奏”无处不在,万事万物都有其赖以运行的节奏。但在信息时代下,越来越快的社会节奏裹挟着人们不断向前,自我的节奏在外界的压力下逐渐失控,带来一系列感知困境:情绪混乱、机能退化、沟通减弱。身处其中,当我们亟需一种新的方式去突破困境,我们构想通过调节呼吸这一人体基本节奏,将其与情绪、技能和交流链接,在呼吸间改善身心状态。为此,我们以触觉刺激为媒介,引导人的呼吸模式,构建呼吸的有形界面,依“息”偕“律”,重新整理自我的生命节奏。



“Rhythm” is everywhere,everything has its own rhythm that works on。However,in the information era, the accelerating social rhythm is binding people forward. Their own rhythm grows steadily out of hand under external pressure, which brings a series of perception dilemmas,such as emotional turmoil, functional degeneration and communication reduction.  Therefore, when a new method is urgently needed to break the dilemma, we conceive to improve physical and mental state by regulating breath, one of human’s basic rhythm, and linking it with emotion, function, and communication. To this end, we use tactile stimulation as a medium to guide people's breathing patterns and build a tangible interface for breathing, and reorganize our own life rhythm.

载具对于人的意义是什么呢?我们思考这个问题。或许未来载具不只是人类出行的工具,它还可以带人突破空间的限制,穿透时间的屏障,以视听的信息流编织独立的情感空间。坐进来,道路或可是星河,鸣笛或可是海浪,你可以看到办公楼变成耸立的城堡,亦可能听到车辆驶过掀起的林涛。载具于你而言,既可以是穿行宇宙的飞船,也可以是端坐冥想的静室......



What does a vehicle mean to a person? Let's think about this. Perhaps the vehicle of the future will not only be a means of human travel, it will also take people to break the limits of space and time. It uses visual and auditory technology to customize unique emotional Spaces for passengers. If you sit in, you will see the roads become stars, the office buildings become castles, you will hear the sound of sirens become the sound of waves, the sound of wind becomes the sound of leaves. For you, the vehicle can be either a spaceship traveling through space or a quiet room where you can sit and meditate......

时间感知是人类的重要知觉。现下,国际原子时间是世界共同的标准衡量单位。尽管带来了无数好处,人的时间感知能力也在被逐渐摧毁。我们希望在这样单一话语机制所产生的权威现实之外提出另一种可能。我们应当按照自己的节奏去做事,去生活,钟表只能作为参考,而不能是束缚我们的枷锁。顺着自己的意愿,跳脱至范式之外,继续探索千变万化的时间。



Time perception is a crucial sense for human being. The whole world is taking atomic time as the one and only measurement of time, which has brought us countless benefits, but also killing our natural time perception.We hope to raise an alternative sense of time under the authority reality generated by the single discourse mechanism. We shall arrange our time according to the origin tempo of ourselves. And a clock should only be as a reference rather than a cage that lock us in.Follow your instincts, shift the paradigm, and explore the ever changing time.

人造物的世界充斥着理性元素,而人类则是理性与感性的共同体。我们思考,在理性造物逻辑之外,是否存在一种更为感性的造物体系。因而,我们将感性的情绪作为人与人造物交流的媒介,设想情绪主导的未来世界。我们将这个体系看做双主题变奏曲,人作为主旋律,情绪外延的force作为伴奏,交相呼应成情绪变奏曲。



The world of man-made objects is full of rational elements, and human beings are a community of reason and sensibility. We wonder if there is a more emotional creation system outside of the rational logic of creation. Therefore, we use emotional emotions as a medium for communication between people and artificial objects, and imagine a future world dominated by emotions. We see this system as a two-theme variation, with the person as the main melody and the emotional extension force as the accompaniment, which echoes into an emoria.

当所有权不再以拥有和占据为特征——在流动共享的未来,我们畅想用气味表达所属权和在场证明,为每个人构建自我的意识居所。通过调研,我们发现人类能够模拟蛇与鲨鱼,通过左右鼻的气味浓度差感受空间,同时气味也能形成屏障。因此,我们设想通过气味编织个人空间,形成流动的、熟悉的、可控的个人屏障。



When ownership is no longer characterized by possession and occupation - in a future of mobile sharing - we imagine using scent to express ownership and proof of presence, building a conscious dwelling place for everyone. Through research, we found that human can imitate snakes and sharks, perceiving space through the difference in odor concentration between the left and right noses, while odor can also form a barrier. Therefore, we envision to weave personal space through scent, forming a fluid, familiar, and controllable personal barrier.

在生活节奏日益增快的今天,人们往往将精力集中在有明确导向的活动上,呈现聚精会神的状态。神经漫游物语Neuro-Wandering 以外界的图像、声音、气味等作为原始素材,加入用户脑电波进行扰动,通过算法输出新的视觉、触觉环境。视触觉处理系统将根据不同的脑电波型做出反馈,最终创造一个人类与自我对话的空间,并呼唤漫不经心状态的回归。



In today's fast-paced life, people tend to focus on clearly oriented activities and present a state of concentration. Neuro-Wandering takes external images, sounds and smells as the raw material, adds the user's brain waves for perturbation and outputs a new visual and tactile environment through an algorithm. The visual and tactile processing system will give feedback according to the different brainwave patterns, ultimately creating a space where humans can talk to themselves and call for a return to the state of inattentiveness.
